7th Week Assignment(3)

Hello again! Everyone! This week had been a cold week. I hope next week will get warm!

 

When I saw this week’s topic, I immediately came up with ‘Kakao Talk’ because I thought it would be a great opportunity to introduce the most famous chatting-app in South Korea. Kakao talk first started as a chatting-app only, but it came famous and famous so they are now one of the biggest corporation in Korea which has various apps and services music, game ect.

 

I joined the open chat which was about music recommendation. There were various people with various music taste, so I could know many different types of music. I recommended my favorite music, and commented to thank for the recommendation.

 

Next, I joined the public topic group about music industry at LinkedIn. The reason why I chose this group was that I wanted to know about how music industry works since my brand is about coin karaoke, part of the music industry. I saw the article about the advantage of connection of music and technology and I totally agreed, so I commented to it.

 

I think there is each two strengths and weaknesses of using Social Media Networks and online communities/groups to facilitate business networking and potential market research.

 

First strength is Everyone can use social media to promote their business. Also there are various kinds of groups and communities they can promote, It has unlimited choices.

Next, social media easy to access, so it’s easy to promote their brands to people. More people sees the promotion, it’s more likely to success.

 

One weakness is, if it's easy to access, it’s hard to get the best options because there are thousands of choices that we have to consider.

Second, there are many online bullies that ruin the groups. We should learn how to deal with them unless it will make bad effect to social business.
