Third Week Assignment
post a summary of what 5 people/organizations you have decided to follow on Twitter and how following these Tweets will help you to build your brand. Summarize the strengths and weaknesses of using Twitter as a SMM tool.
I am a very fun-loving person. Also I love singing and listening to music. It helps me to relieve stress, and recover vitality. Thus, Since when I was middle school student I when to karaoke with my friends regularly in South Korea. Actually, I when to “Coin Karaoke” just before coming here, USA. Coin karaoke is one type of Karaoke. It has relatively small space than ordinary karaoke, so we can enjoy singing alone. Also in regular karaoke you have to pay on your way out(considering US karaoke), but in coin karaoke you pay one by one. In other words, you can only pay for the times you sang. The price is pretty cheap because it’s approximately 50cents for one song. Since it’s system is famous and I loved it in Korea, I thought it would be nice to promulgate Coin karaoke in USA.
For that reason, I decided to follow one of Korea’s biggest karaoke company ‘KY금영노래방’ also called ‘Keumyoung group’ to know how new songs are updated. After that I followed ‘BTS’, ‘Adele’ ‘Maroon 5’ and ‘Ariana Grande’ to see the trends. Finally, I followed ‘Smule’ because it has the app to sing a song in person, and I thought it matches with my opinion to enable people to sing more easily. With them, I’m wishing to know better about Coin karaoke.
Twitter as a SMM tool has many strengths such as ‘Feed’, which allows you to see the most recent tweets of your followers and followings. Feed can also show you what you may have missed when you were not on the Twitter. However Twitter has the word limits, so it can be inconvenient to see at once, but you can see them if there’s a thread. I think Twitter has relatively high Entry barrier then Facebook or Instagram, because it can be confusing to adjust to the functions. However, once you get used to it, I think Twitter can be a very powerful SMM.

Interesting! I had never heard of coin karaoke
